I'm a commerce writer at CNET who loves all things beauty. From skincare to haircare, I can always find something I like. Beyond beauty, I love food, video games, and technology related to gaming, video, and photo editing.
I find that I am drawn to similar aspects in beauty, food, gaming, and tech. If there's a social justice, inclusion, innovation, or pop culture angle, I'm all for it. My work has always been about centering underrepresented voices or questioning spaces that shut underrepresented people out.
I graduated from DePaul University with a Master of Arts in Multimedia Journalism. I have a B.A. from DePaul University and an Ed.M. and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
I'm an alum of Vox Media's inaugural Media Writers Workshop. And prior to working at CNET, I freelanced as a commerce writer at Simply Recipes and Healthline while spending the rest of my freelance time writing about food and gaming.
